Our History
The Maugansville Ruritan Club was chartered on April 30, 1953 with 20 members. It was the 5th club in the state of Maryland and the 539th in the nation. As we celebrate our 71st year as a club we are proud to have close to 80 members including honorary and associate members, making us one of the largest clubs in the state and are honored to serve the Maugansville Community

that provides free hand-built beds for local children
that don’t have beds to sleep in. The program is called
The Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Program. Their website is

Maugansville Ruritan Club’s All You Can Eat Country Breakfast
The 7th Annual Maugansville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
It's that time of year again !! Our Annual Christmas Tree sale will begin on Friday November 29th.
Our lot again will be at the Longmeadow Shopping Center between CVS and CNB Bank
We will be open every day until we sell out which is usually a few days before Christmas. Our hours are Monday-Thursday 12pm - 8pm and Friday - Sunday 9am - 9pm.
As usual we will have a great selection of many different types and sizes of trees at affordable prices as well as wreaths and roping. We will also accept credit cards. Our trees are fresh and cut weekly so you know it will last through the season.
All proceeds go back into the community. Please help us to help you and your community.

The 7th Annual Maugansville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
The 7th Annual Maugansville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in the park on Tuesday, December 3rd at 6pm.
Christmas carols will be sung, and free refreshments will be served at the building, and rumor has it Old St Nick himself will be making an appearance. Bring the kids, tell your friends and neighbors and plan on attending to welcome in the Christmas season.

Maugansville Area Christmas Lighting Contest
Come enjoy a free Christmas party and Carol sing for the neighborhood children at our building on Thursday December 12th at 6pm.
We will have activities for the kids, refreshments and an appearance by Santa.
Bring your own camera to get a picture with Santa.

Maugansville Area Christmas Lighting Contest
On December 17th between 6 and 8pm we will judge the outdoor Christmas lights and decorations on your Maugansville Area house and yard.
The Maugansville Area consists of north to State Line Road, east to Interstate 81, south to Maugans Meadow and west to Cearfoss-Greencastle Pike.
There is nothing you have to do to enter, just have your lights on the night of the judging and you will be notified if you are a winner. The club offers a modest cash prize for the top three house-lighting displays
