Our History
The Maugansville Ruritan Club was chartered on April 30, 1953 with 20 members. It was the 5th club in the state of Maryland and the 539th in the nation. As we celebrate our 73rd year as a club we are proud to have over 60 members including honorary and associate members, making us one of the largest clubs in the state and are honored to serve the Maugansville Community

Our annual community auction will be Saturday March 21, 2026 at the Ruritan building from 2pm until everything is sold. We will be auctioning donated items from area businesses. Everything from furniture to household goods to gift certificates to a little of anything and everything. Definitely something for everyone. If you have any sellable items you would like to donate call 301-739-9822. Food and drink will also be available. This year the proceeds from our auction will go to the Maugansville Goodwill Fire Department. So come out and support our local Fire Department. AUCTION STARTS AT 2PM!!!!!
